Downloadable PDF: The Zippered Pillowcase
Pillowcases are a great way to make any room more fun – try this project for the first time and learn how to insert an invisible zipper (it will change your life!). Try this project for the 10th time, (once you have a little more experience) and experiment with heirloom fabrics like antique woven rugs, vintage needle-point, upcycled leather or old t-shirts and sweaters to create something unique and special! Learn how to draft a pattern or use one of ours. Complete, illustrated instructions on installing an invisible zipper, finishing your edges using a zigzag stitch and sewing your pillowcase are included in this downloadable .pdf file. Please note that while these patterns are an ideal accompaniment to our videos, this product is sold stand-alone.

Skills required:
You must know how to thread up a sewing machine and sew 1/2″ seams. If you would like to make this project but you want more help, check out the online tutorial here.
Materials required:
1/2 – 1 yard of non-stretch, woven cotton fabric*** (depending on the size of your pillow)
16″ x 16″ – 1/2y
18″ x 18″ – 3/4y
20″ x 20″ – 3/4y
A pillow form (make sure it’s the same size as your pillow pattern)
A 20-26″ invisible zipper, matching polyester thread. We will cut the zipper to size – don’t worry if it’s too long!

***more advanced sewers might want to experiment with other fabrics, but we highly recommend making this project with woven cotton for the first time
